Overview

Our Bachelor of Science in Agriculture provides you with the skills and knowledge to pursue a diverse and rewarding career in the agricultural industry. Whether it’s as a farm manager or in agricultural sales, the opportunities are vast and diverse.

One of the most unique aspects of this course is that it will provide you with a 12 week placement on a working farm and related agricultural businesses. It will demonstrate to future employers your capacity to apply technical skills to real-world situations.

Outside of your placement you’ll be gaining knowledge in the key areas of soil and plant science, ruminant husbandry and agriculture business management. You’ll also learn about Farm Waste and Environmental Science, Livestock Production and Animal Science in Year 3. Equally, should you not wish to continue onto third year you can exit the course with a Higher Certificate in Science in Agriculture following the successful completion of your first two years.
