Overview
This programme provides you with a broad-based business education to assist you to work successfully in business. You will study a variety of business subjects and develop a general understanding of the administrative, economic, legal and social environment within which business operates. You will study the basics of business and get an insight into many business disciplines. There is a strong emphasis during the programme on practical business projects to develop the skills required by graduates in the workplace.
We help you to develop strong interpersonal skills, including working as part of a team and management and leadership skills, during your time in college. You will also develop independent thinking and discovery skills through applied research projects. The fourth year of the Honours degree incorporates practical projects which are aimed at cultivating your analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills. This will prepare you to hit the ground running in today’s fast changing business environment.
Career opportunities
The programme prepares students for employment in a wide range of business areas in the accounting, financial services, marketing, human resource, agri-business and management functions of industrial, commercial and public enterprises.
Some graduates work with professionals in practice and proceed to membership of a relevant professional body.
